Patrick Chinnery is a trial lawyer who cut his teeth in the state and federal courts in Chicago, Illinois. A 2011 graduate of Loyola Chicago University School of Law, he worked for the storied civil litigation firm, Rock Fusco & Connelly, LLC. After seven-plus years trying cases with RFC, he has moved back home to Tennessee to continue his legal practice at Pepper Law.
Patrick’s civil litigation practice is focused on commercial, employment, and consumer law. He has extensive experience in breach of contract cases, employer-employee disputes, shareholder actions, and defending clients accused of violating federal consumer laws, such as the FDCPA, TCPA, and FCRA and state consumer protection statutes. Patrick has extensive experience settling disputes through mediation and arbitration proceedings. He has first chaired nearly a dozen trials to successful verdicts for his clients. This real-world success is built on the foundation of more than 500 hours of trial advocacy training he received as a member of Loyola’s “Top 10 in the Nation” Philip H. Corboy Mock Trial Program.
Patrick has represented clients large and small, including multi-national financial institutions, a foreign government, mid-sized corporations, and sole proprietorships and single-member LLCs. Some of his largest jury verdicts were on behalf of individuals suing their former employers and business partners.
For his efforts, Patrick was recognized in 2017, 2018, and 2019 as an “Emerging Lawyer” in Illinois, in the fields of commercial litigation and creditor’s rights, an honorific bestowed by the Chicago Law Bulletin on the top 2% of Illinois attorneys under age 40.
Patrick is licensed to practice law in every court in Illinois, and is authorized to practice law in the state of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7, Sec. 10.07, while his application to the Tennessee Bar is pending. Patrick is admitted to nearly a dozen federal courts, including the Middle District of Tennessee, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
